Whether you’re trying to decide whether to chose Hot Foil or what colours to use, you can find out what these mean for you.

GOLD HOT FOIL ON KRAFT

Hot Foil Printing
Lead Time:Period of time between placing an order and the finished product.
Spot UV:A shiny varnish coating, applied to printed products, which catches the light and provides an alternative texture to your printed product.
Hot Foil:A foil embellishment that adds a touch of luxury to printed products, available in Gold, Silver and Bronze.
PEVA:Polyethylene vinyl acetate, a non-toxic, biodegradable and weatherproof plastic.

PANTONE SPECIFIC PRINTING

Vibrant Colours
Overprint:A technique of printing to have your own bespoke logo printed onto a plain bag or other products in our range.
Pantone:This is a Universal go to guide for colour ranging from metallics, pastels and neons. Pantone codes are useful for cross matching accurately. For example, Pantone Coated Black C would translate to 63, 62, 59, 94 CMYK.
CMYK:Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (Black) commonly used for print and web publishing.
RGB:Red, Green, Blue commonly used for display on electronic systems. This can vary from device to device and is not a suitable format for print.

POLYPROPYLENE ROPE, SHINY AND LUXURIOUS

Polypropylene:A very versatile, eco-friendly material used for its durability in food containers, garment bags and even rope handles.
Bleed:This is a Universal The artwork that extends passed a certain “bleed”, for example, 4mm, this shows where the artwork is to be trimmed.
Vector:A format used for the logo, imagery and text that enables it to be printed in any size without compromising quality. These would be .ai, . SWF or .svg files.
Bitmap:A graphic composed of many pixels to form a larger image. Saved as a .jpg, .gif or .tiff format and are much larger in size than a vector file. These are set in size and cannot be resized without compromising quality.

USE VECTOR LOGOS FOR HIGH QUALITY

LDPE:Low-density polyethene, tough plastic with flexibility, used for our budget bag products.
Jute:Material used to create bags for life. This is 100% biodegradable and eco-friendly. Ideal for carrying heavy items.
GSM:Grams per Square Metre, indicates the quality of paper and weight.
Gusset:This is a side and/or base panel of a bag, often the thinnest sides. Some plastic or eco-friendly bags will only have a base gusset.

BESPOKE BAGS AND PACKAGING

Bespoke Bags and Packging
Bespoke:Means tailored to suit you, you can choose from a range of sizes, materials, prints of your own design and your own colours.
FSC Certified:An eco-friendly paper made from virgin tree fibres from a well-managed forest.
Microns:Also known as a Micrometre, measurement of 1×10−6. This is used to measure the thickness of plastic bags.
